4 out of 5 stars Big improvement! Great Fun!   July 8, 2008
Miguel Espinoza Estrada (Costa Rica)
I've really had a lot of fun with this game, am a big fan of the first release and can see an amazing improvement overall in it. Still a couple of flaws like in a scenario a building from the background breaks, and visual details like that, more important one is the gameplay, at first you see really lame shots and it tends to be just too unreal but as your World Tour character improves you start getting a better show, players dive less and its just more believable.
Training games are very good and entertaining and the Academy introduction really adds a little extra to the whole experience.

The addition of being able to play more sets and any combination of games-per-set (including tie break) makes it just a lot better.

Plaing the King is a real pain but thats just my lack of skills hehe. Still you can play it without the world tour character for a quick fun or build up a champion, Ive managed to get it almost perfect but the latest experience points are very hard to get -> You get stats for Serve (Speed and Control), Ground Strokes (backhand and forehand and power, angle and control), footwork and volley (others that I cant recall right now).

Final word, for the price it has, this game is a bargain... you wont be disappointed :)

2 out of 5 stars Good game if you like easy games with no challenges   March 22, 2008

this game does have good graphic the gameplay is smooth, but it is way too easy, to easy to the point that I, the first time playing the game, did not lose a point, then I continued to move up in skill level, nothing changed. I beat everyone, at every skill level without losing a single point. I like realistic game, this is not one, so that is why I would not recommend it if you like challenges, you just won't get one here....

fun way to kill some time...plus you can customize ur own character and rackets and sneakers...etc. Either way theres this one guy I can't beat! WHY?! Just glad I got my money's worth in this game rather than wasting more at the arcade.

1 out of 5 stars A letdown   August 21, 2007

I bought this game thinking it would be good but I was thinking wrong. Let me just say that this game stinks real bad. I played Virtua Tennis on the XBOX and PS2 and they were good games. However on this PSP the game is a complete letdown. I don't know if it's just me but during points this game will flicker a bit. Also the players look completly fake. The players play styles doesn't match. I wish this scale had 0 stars because this game is a complete waste of resources. I watch tennis and know the players styles so I know what I'm talking about. If your going to buy this game please don't. If you really want a good tennis game for the PSP get "Smash Court Tennis 3" as it puts this Virtua Tennis to shame. I also should mention that the game is a dark.. I just don't like this game at all.

This is a pretty fun game. I beat it in about 3 days after playing the first day and then getting instantly hooked. There is one gripe about the game though, you constantly play the same opponents. Ranked 300 in the world you play Andy Roddick and you play him again ranked 15 or so. Of course he is much harder when you're ranked 15 or so but that aspect makes it unreal. Other then that its a very good buy.
