Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception brings the intense combat action to your PSP, as you fight for control of the skies. The Federal Republic of Auerila is at war with it's neighbor, the Democratic Republic of Leasath. Auerila was said to have exploited Leasath during a civil war. You are the leader of Gryphus Squadron, of the Aurelian Air Force -- which means you don't care about the politics behind the war. You're a fighter pilot with a job to do, so get in the cockpit and get ready for action. Realistic radio chatter

Joseph Griefenstine (Morehead, KY USA)
The game has a fairly good plot, excellent game play and several realy cool in-game features and unlockables. Too bad the game wasn't a bit longer.

4 out of 5 stars great gane   July 10, 2008
Terri K. Lane (Greenville,MS USA)
This game is great. The graphics are really good. I lost the game before I could finish it. So I'm not sure how the whole game is ,but it's a great game up too as far as i got.

5 out of 5 stars The Best Flying Game for PSP!!!!!   April 6, 2008
John Buchanan (MD USA)
With out a doubt, this is the best flight sim game for the PSP system. I have played the others, but Ace Combat has alot more realistic game play. Also the game levels are challenging and the game seems to go on for a while. I have been gaming since 1981 and I have to say i'ts truely amazing what they can put together game wise for a hand held system. Ace Combat X SoD ROCKS!!!!!

3 out of 5 stars Not quite the same as the others   November 24, 2007

ACX is more like a mixture of AC2 and 4,but not exactly the same as the other AC games out there.you can plan out your own route in terms of completing the game like in AC2,the rest is pretty similar to AC4. one interesting feature in this game is that you can tune up the fictional prototype/experimental planes like the XFA-27 to fit your style and personally that's about the only thing I really liked about this game.

the over all game play is rather fun but irritating at times, thing such as the refueling mission, fighting with targets that disappears after certain amount of time etc...can really be a pain.your missile tend to lose tracking if you are within 200 feet from the enemy craft(even if it's locked on and you won't even see a flare dropped from the enemy).the AI planes on your side got rolled back to the old "we are totally useless" mode, they are pretty much just there for show so don't expect anything amazing from these guys.generally,if you only enjoyed the later ace combat games like 5 and Zero(Belkan War) you might wanna skip this one.
