Editorial Reviews:

Description
A spectacular mix of explosive action and wickedly funny humor -- critics and audiences worldwide hailed PULP FICTION as the star-studded movie event of 1994. Writer/director Quentin Tarantino (Academy Award(R)-winner -- Best Original Screenplay) delivers an unforgettable cast of characters -- including a pair of low-rent hit men (John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson), their boss' sexy wife (Uma Thurman), and a desperate, last-chance prizefighter (Bruce Willis) -- in a wildly entertaining big-screen adventure.

The dialogues are excellent and the story is inspired. This is whithout a doubt a great flick.

This movie is the pinnacle of excellent movie making. While Quentin Tarantino stays in my mind as one of the strangest individuals in the entertainment business after perhaps Crispin Glover and Michael Jackson, I think his ability to creat a cinematic masterpiece is of the highest level.

This movie stands as one of the greatest movies of all time. The intertwining of movie making and storyline are what make this movie so wonderful! Casting was top notch, as well as makeup and costume design. I liked watching the movie, not being sure if I was watching mid-80's or present time. For the record this movie came out in 1992.

I think Samuel L. Jackson deserved an oscar nomination for this one. It was phenomenal watching him on the big screen, especially during the shootout in the apartment. I also very much enjoyed the dialogue between him and John Travolta, especially before the shooting, as they are waiting to enter the apartment.

I give this high marks, and hope that others will take the time to watch this wonderful movie.

Two thumbs up! MC White says check it out!!!

2 out of 5 stars PSP Technical Review - A Real Dissapointment   September 22, 2005

After 10 years, 'Pulp Fiction' still holds up as an absolute classic, and thankfully Beuna Vista/Miramax have released this gem on PSP for all us to enjoy.

How does it rate.....well, not so good I'm afraid.

Picture:
Like Kill Bill Vol 1+2, the picture is nice and sharp, and in it's Original Aspect ratio of 2:35. The black levels are a little mirky and lack that blackness of say Sin City, but still holds up well. A little desaturated on UMD, but i guess, so was the original film.

Score: 3/5

Audio:
This is where it falls to pieces. Basically, it stinks. A terrible audio presentation that begins and ends on the lowest volume I've experienced on any UMD. Even with the UMD volume set to +2 and on maximum, it's no-where near what it should be. It's trouble with the mastering. It's lacking on both the high ends and low ends. Lacking sharpness in the gushots that usually scare the hell out of me at the start, to the bass and richness of the infamous soundtrack...it lacks all.

Score: 1/5

Extras:
None, zilch, even the terrible menus were ripped straight from the DVD.

Score: 1/5

Overall:
One of my fav films, and one i was looking forward to all month, is below scratch. Not to say that it's unwatchable, just don't expect anything near great. Very bad Beuna Vista, very bad indeed.

Score: 2/5

5 out of 5 stars Impossible to forget!   September 14, 2005

Tarantino really makes his space in the director chair with this movie. Starting with the great cast, Uma Thurman, Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson, John Travolta and more. Tarantino's amazing screen display, as well as an original plot makes this an amazing movie. From the beggining, to the end and beginning again(you'll get i't) you'll be blown by this movie. It mixes a lot of genres and the divisions of chapters and stories makes it really good for the trama. Really good movie and for the psp even better!!
