False Advertising, Plus So-So Episodes June 21, 2010 Zachary Koenig (Fergus Falls, MN) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
First off, just a note to let potential buyers know that this is NOT a feature film (ala The Simpsons Movie). Instead, it is a collection of three episodes ("Stewie B. Goode", "Bango Was His Name Oh", and "Stu and Stewie's Excellent Adventure") released in a very mis-leading "feature film" format.
If you are a fan of Family Guy, then this disc will appeal to you much like any of the other collections (although I consider the three episodes in this one to be nothing but ordinary). If not, though, then don't dish out the money thinking you will be watching a feature film and getting sucked into the series' crazy, over-the-top, sometimes insulting humor.
family guy May 26, 2010 K. Cunningham (KNOXVILLE, TENNESSEE, US) Stewie is so awesome... I love watching him on family. This is a great DVD!!
Classic Family Guy Humor April 19, 2010 James Presley (Sacramento, California, United States of America) I got this "Movie" when it first came out. Well, I have since watched it, and I must say that it's just as hilarious watching it for the second, third, fourth time as it was the first. Now, as most people pointed out, this really is just 3 episodes on 1 DVD, but even then, this DVD has so much replay value, I find it hard to care. The jokes at the time were fresh, and just as random as the earlier Family Guy episodes in the first few seasons and rarely are there any flat or dull points. I especially loved the "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles" reference which leads to Peter's new news segment on Channel 5. If you enjoy Family Guy, the earlier episodes/seasons especially, then I'm sure you'll love this DVD.
it was ok January 11, 2010 J. Briggs I really liked Family Guy when it first came out. However, after watching the DVDs of the first couple of seasons within just a few days, it wasn't too tough to figure out the pattern/blueprint for this show. Now I feel it's pretty predictable. Still, I longed for those days when it was fresh and I really liked it. Heard about this one and got it, hoping that it was something old, which had never been aired. While it wasn't that, it was a bit more creative than the Family Guys of late and I did have a few good laughs.
If you're a fan, I think you'll like it. I liked it, although I wouldn't watch it again and am glad that I rented rather than bought it.
3 episodes re-packaged! RIP OFF! January 8, 2010 IXRAYU1004 (Port Saint Lucie, Florida) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
If you are a Family Guy fan and own the regular seasons, then you already own this video. This is no more than 3 old episodes with a new short intro and they leave the language intact. So there is nothing new here. A total waste of money if you own the Seasons...they REALLY should tell you that instead of putting a new bow on old episodes!
