I liked this movie, I liked what I saw August 10, 2010 Gabrielle I liked this movie, I enjoyed it and I liked what I was seeing. It was okay. I enjoyed it. It was so nice to actually sit down and watch something and enjoy what I was seeing! Big suprise for me, heee but anyway this movie actually is decent and compared to some bad movies out there filled with gallons of bad and embrassing moments, this one's a winner. It's about a bunch of people in Califorina who own cars and work at the garage. It stars famous actors like Nicholas Cage, Angelina Jolie as Sara "Sway" Awayland and Christopher Ecceleston and Robert Duvall who are really good actors. The movie is about a man who steals cars for money and has a blonde, dirty and greasy leather-clad bartender named Sara who is frisky and played by Angelina. They go off and get all the cars and bring them to the bad guy played by Christopher and the two men kill each other at the end and beat the crap out of each other and they win and they're at a barbecue and Sara who eats a lot licks something off of a guy's finger. She's happy. Anyway she's kind of a kook and she jumps up and down, and her blue eyes get really excited. They drive off at the end, together. Nicholas and Angelina's characters are old exs, but fall in love again and get back together through their adventure together. They have great chemistry. I think this movie was great action film, and I enjoyed what I saw. I thought it was really good, and peaceful and quiet. It had a good story. It was good. I think Angelina did a good job, and I loved her character. Nicholas is okay, and I guess the other men were good too. I guess the story is interesting and it was alright.
"Director's Cut" very different from original release May 31, 2010 T. Evans (St. Louis) As far as action movies go, "Gone In 60 Seconds" is a pretty good one for my tastes - a good butter-on-popcorn movie. What I'd like to alert others to is that, while this "Director's Cut" disc contains a number of good behind-the-scenes-type special features, the version of the actual movie that's on it is VERY different in feel from the theatrical release, which of course was the same version that was on the first release of the movie on VHS as well as on DVD. This new version uses more than a few different scene takes and different camera angles that did the theatrical release. In places, it also seems to be edited differently from the first-released version. A number of the cuts from scene to scene are different. And some scenes were cut and replaced by others. Obviously, any "director's cut" version of a movie, by definition, is going to be different from the original version. But if the version is THIS different, it's only fair to the customer that he/she be given viewing options. This was done in the latest release of "The Bourne Identity" on DVD, for example. Both the original and the new version of that movie were put on the disc, so the viewer could choose between the new version with the added or differently edited scenes, or the original version that he/she was familiar with and had enjoyed in theaters.
Yes this is the original with the original sound May 30, 2010 Stephen H. Fujita (VANCOUVER, WASHINGTON, US) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Yes this is the original movie before they made the crappy remastered version with the cap music and fake car sounds.
Gone in 60 Seconds(Remake) May 26, 2010 Jose Lopez (Miami,Florida USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I liked the original way better despite my hatred for Ford products/mustangs, I really would Have liked to have seen a Corvette Instead. Nicolas Cage is a bit of a bore too. The 'Stang Eleanor is in this one, Yes it is cool, cause it is cars nonetheless but I despise remakes.
My absolute favorite! May 13, 2010 Sarah M. Bobo (BOISE, ID, US) Best movie in the whole wide world. I now have three copies! I just can't get enough!
