Product Description
Monster Kingdom: Jewel Summoner is thrilling role-playing adventure. There was a time when mankind and monsters coexisted in peace -- until The Great Disaster. The monsters disappeared, leaving behind only jewels that radiated tremendous energy. This "jewel power" helped the survivors & allowed them to rebuild civilization. An elite class of warriors arose who could tap directly into the jewels to summon monsters and build their powers. These Jewel Summoners are the world's last, best hope for peace.

To me, a good game should have: a story line, lots of adventure, cool characters, and very creative.
I know, I know, high standards. But this game had it all. I'm really glad i bought it. I can even play it through more than once -- the story line depends on which characters you choose to be a part of your team. And they're entertaining!
I definitely recommend this product.

5 out of 5 stars Hard to find, but worth it   August 7, 2007

I had looked everywhere for this game, and I finally settled to buy it from here, and it was worth it. The game is kind of like Pokemon, in the fact that you can catch the monsters you fight with "prisms" of that monsters element. You play as a boy named Vice, looking for the abomination who killed his mother, and ends up joining the "order", the place where summoners are trained. The game is really fun, with lots of dungeons and puzzles I can put it down.

This game is extremely fun. The only problem with it is the fact that there isn't a very good storyline. The story part is good, but there's no variety to it. Anyhow, this is the closest thing to Pokemon that they have made for the PSP yet, so I like it enough to recommend buying it.

5 out of 5 stars Very solid.   June 11, 2007

Monster Kingdom: Jewel Summoner is similar to the legendary Pokémon and Final Fantasy Series. If you liked either of those, this is without a doubt the right game for you. It has a simple but entertaining storyline, a solid battle system, and a wonderfully diverse monster system. I found this game to be highly entertaining, and really couldn't find a problem with this game. I recommend it very much, and I think that this game is another solid PSP title.

This game isn't bad if you're me. If you are the type of person who likes seemingly endless dialogues between characters, than you won't have a problem here. If you happen to have played any of the Shin Megami Tensei games and thought that they were pretty cool, then you won't have a problem liking this game. If you happen to be into Pokemon, then you won't have a problem with this game. The story may be a bit dry at times, but there isn't a point in which you feel the need to either rush through the story segments or simply turn off your PSP. The combat system is descent, very much like Pokemon. It is turned based and there are random battles. I haven't beaten the game, so I still have yet to see where the story is going to take me and whether the ending is disappointing or not. This may or may not be a useful review, but take it that I have yet to find anything truly wrong with this interesting game.
