3 out of 5 stars Crashes Constantly   August 6, 2010

I love playing the game..................when it works. It crashes constantly on my Windows 7 64 bit machine and the only way I have found to fix it, although temporarily, is to completely remove and install again. The problem seems to be during saves and I think it has to do with the Windows Live thing. This would probably be a great game if it wasn't for the fact that you must be signed into Windows Live in order to play and save your progress.

Removing and installing is time consuming enough but each time you start the game, you must wait for a series of videos before getting into the game.

I would give this game five stars if it wasn't crippled with Windows Live.

5 out of 5 stars best racing game of the year   August 3, 2010

Awesome visuals !!!
I bought both the xbox 360 version and the PC version, and the PC version is a small amount prettier using higher resolution and direct-x 11 graphics. Both versions are among the top two or three best looking racing games ever made , (arguably including GRID and GRAN TURISMO PROLOGUE).Gran Turismo 5
The forcefeedback and precision of control is excellent with either a wheel or a joypad.
The variety of races is excellent, (Rallycars, baja trucks and buggies, RAID,.
Lush forests, realistic water, dust, mud, jumps, rollovers, crashes, broken car parts, awesome.
The A.I. is lots of fun to race against offline, bumping and shoving and mixing it up.
This game is a definate buy.

5 out of 5 stars Be a realist and you'll enjoy the game   August 3, 2010

For a long time I had some serious trouble with this game: it was too difficult. Rather more so than "Colin MacRae Rally" on the Mac; or "Dirt" and even "Grid" on the PS 3.

But now I have come to terms with realities and my own pride, lowered the level of difficulty to "Casual" and I am pleased to say everything is MUCH improved :-)

These racing games are far from easy for the likes of me, but I do enjoy exploring a dirt track until I get to know it by heart and I finally can get in that one adequate restart, the object of all we desire. Graphics are so beautiful, very fine and detailed, the experience is bumpy and noisy, maintaining control is just this side of barely possible and the co-driver is actually very useful indeed: listen to him and you'll discover his warnings come at just the right time.
Many's the time I have quit the game with and oath or even two ...but I never fail to return and that is the highest praise for any game: that frustrations never prevent you from wanting more of the same. Grrrr.

3 out of 5 stars Its a 1 player racing game   July 30, 2010

I dont understand why are there 1 player racing games, why not make it at the very least a 2 player game? Sure, there is an online 2 player game mode and a 2 player network mode, but you need two xboxes and 2 games.

1 player mode is good, but nothing new. Very disappointed.
