AWEOSME DEVICE!! June 20, 2010 William Freniere (OKC) I wasnt planning on buying this Assassins Creed version at first. But when I told the guy at Target that I wanted the core pack and the Assassins creed game he just asked why I didnt get the pack with the 2gb card, movie voucher, 10 sony songs, and a white PSP? HELLO!!! I am glad that he mentioned that because I saved so much on the memory card and got a limited edition white PSP!!! I love it and you will too!!!
Unhackable POS June 8, 2010 J. Kirk (Moreno Valley, CA) 0 out of 5 found this review helpful
I know that the main purpose of enabling custom firmware on a PSP is to play pirated games
but sony really screwed everyone else when they made this abomination
save yourself some grief and buy a PSP 2000 they are almost invariably cheaper and have infinitely more options
Don't buy!!! Download does not work!!! April 17, 2010 Mark A. Hucks Jr. (New York, New York) 2 out of 10 found this review helpful
Do not buy this. Even though the box and voucher say that the Angels and Demons download is valid, it is not. Playstation and Amazon both told me to go die in a fire when i called them. Both did not help me and told me it was expired even though I was holding the valid download in my hand with a valid expiration date. Worst ever. Don't buy it.
Game is good, but Sony??? April 11, 2010 Christopher Pitts (Salt Lake City, UT USA) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I like the PSP it is a good overall portable game system, and I think Assassin's Creed is a very good game. My problem is with Sony the company. If you need customer service from them good luck. If there is a way to call them for support it is so hidden within the maze that is their support website I was never able to find it. When you do find what you are looking for and are able to contact them you will get a canned response that asks you for information that is not relevant to you problem at all. I have been doing IT for twelve years and worked with support from many companies and in my opinion Sony ranks as one of the worst.
Along with this terrible support is their download service. Given that the industry is moving this direction it think it is important that this be mentioned. I downloaded the Angels and Demons movie that came with game and I was never able to get it to run on my PSP. It has everything in the world to do with their Draconian DRM. Sony's own device does not work with it's DRM protection without a hard fight. I have used several of these services and never had a problem until I tried Sony's. Once again tech support was very unhelpful. First they said they were unable to fix the problem because they were out of codes. When I protested that I paid for the movie with the game and that I should be able to download it again should something happen (like poor DRM coding, hard drive or memory card failure as these things happen more than people think) they responded that I could download it one more time as a "gesture of good will" Why? I already bought the movie!
Needless to say I will never use their download service again. I don't have the time or money to waste on it. If you are going to use UMDs (which are kind of a dying breed) you should be fine. But I would avoid Sony's download service at all costs.
